Through the process of my final group project I frll in love with communicating throigh twitter to accomplish a task. I believe this will really benefit my 7th grade science students so this is what I would like to incorporate in my final project. I will present a worksheet to be researched to a group of studnets and have them communicate and fill out the worksheet only through twitter. I hope this will inspire creativity, motivation, and make the results of ths WS better. If this is the case I will work on setting this up in my own classroom for a group project on something more difficult than a WS.

  1. The obvious question - How do you see this being received? So far Diigo has not been allowed, YouTube is still blocked, etc. How might you present this differently so that it is more well received?

Other than that, glad to hear you've enjoyed your Twitter experience!

    1. I am glad that you asked the question like that. It is all in how you present it. Since the students can use their phones to tweet I will give them the option of using twitter otherwise they can use google docs. Because the students will use their own phone and they will complete a permission slip I don't see any problems. Also, I used twitter in my class last year and there was no problem from administration.

    2. If you can spare the time, I'd love to sit down and chat about how you used Twitter in your classroom. I know I've talked with a language arts teacher or two about using a class Twitter account like a few of our elementary teachers, but I'd be really interested in what you did, as well.

  3. Cassidy,

I definitely think that this assignment will teach your students that social media can be used in educational and positive ways.
